On The Road
The first trip
I don’t travel as much as I’d like to, but I took two great trips so far this year. Back in April, I drove to Rhode Island to work on a very special public art project with Amaral Fabrications, spending two days mixing colors using Marine enamel paint. Things are still under wraps, so I can only say so much, but just know there’s going to be a big push for this with the client once everything’s said and done; needless to say, I’m pretty stoked. I continued my tour of New England, first stopping by Philly to visit the Barnes Foundation, then to NYC for some sightseeing and Times Square photo opps. No trip is complete without a lil street art, right? I was able to leave my mark in Rhode Island, Philadelphia, and New Orleans while on the way back home. Overall, it was a great trip full of exploration and networking. Plus I established some really meaningful connections.
The second trip was all about family. This Summer my wife, kids and I flew out to Los Angeles, rented a minivan and drove all around Los Angeles County. While out in LA we went to the Santa Monica Pier, hung out with Mickey at Disney Land, and caught up with my Dad and Step Mom. Thankfully they were able to babysit the boys so my wife and I could sneak in a few dates. On the way back home we decided to stop at the south rim of the Grand Canyon. It was my second time there; thankfully we were able to visit the north rim a few years ago before the devastating wildfire. Anyway, I had so much fun exploring the city with my wife and spending time with my family; such a great way to relax and decompress before the busy months ahead.
